There are many different ways to be certified and educated in this field, and no single body governs the standards of dog trainers. Because of that, OutWoof Bound created our own continuing education requirements for the team.
Our staff is currently working with Hannah of Hannah's Cat Training, a well-known cat trainer based in Los Angeles, deepening our expertise in feline behavior and cat-dog integration.
Our training is rooted in positive reinforcement, Fear Free practices, choice-based training, and LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) principles. We invest in learning so we can give the best care, training, and support possible.
We update this page monthly. Our trainers are required to complete six continuing education credits every month and all other staff complete four, so there is always something new to add.
The science of dog behavior and training keeps evolving. Continuing education means our team stays current with modern, humane, evidence-based methods rather than relying on outdated techniques. It is one of the clearest signals that a trainer takes their craft seriously.
Yes. Our team includes a Victoria Stilwell Academy certified trainer, an IAABC accredited trainer with a Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis, and CATCH Academy and PST-CI certified trainers. Every trainer completes six continuing education credits per month and all other staff complete four.
