Dog Daycare Portland Oregon · Trainer-Led Daycare and Boarding at Outwoof Bound
SE Portland's trainer-led dog daycare and boarding for every dog, including the reactive, anxious, and bite-history dogs other Portland daycares turn away. Honest flat pricing with no holiday surcharges.
What Dogs Do You Accept That Other Portland Daycares Reject?
Outwoof Bound accepts reactive, anxious, fearful, and rescue dogs that Portland daycares with open-play models typically reject during temperament evaluations. Our Behavior & Socialization Track at $90 per day was built for dogs with leash reactivity, fence-fighting history, resource guarding, or fear-based responses. Located at 5404 SE 72nd Ave Portland Oregon 97206, we run structured small-group sessions with certified trainer oversight rather than open warehouse playgroups.
Trainer-led care across Portland and surrounding cities. Behavior-first programs for the dogs that many facilities decline. Cat boarding in a separate calm space. Honest pricing posted publicly with no surcharges on holidays.
Trainer-Led, Not Just Staff-Watched
Every Portland dog daycare day at Outwoof Bound is led by a certified trainer. The Behavior and Social skills Day Program serves reactive dogs, anxious dogs, and bite-history dogs that many facilities turn away. Written progress notes go home after every visit.
Year-Round Boarding With No Holiday Surcharges
Dog boarding Portland operates 365 days a year. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve, July Fourth, Spring Break, and Memorial Day all cost the same as any other night.

What Makes Outwoof Bound Different
At Outwoof Bound, the Behavior and Social skills Day Program runs alongside Basecamp Daycare. Reactive dogs, anxious dogs, and bite-history dogs are welcome. At most facilities, any dog meeting basic temperament screening goes in with the rest, while reactive, anxious, and bite-history dogs get screened out or never welcomed in. Outwoof Bound built a second track for those dogs. The Behavior and Social skills Day Program at $90/day runs alongside the standard Basecamp Daycare track at $55/day, with separate space, structured pacing, and a certified trainer present the entire time.
Cat owners in Portland often struggle to find boarding that respects feline stress thresholds. Outwoof Bound runs cat boarding and cat daycare in a separate cat-only space with vertical perches, private rest areas away from dog noise, and staff visits every few hours instead of leaving cats alone for long stretches. Single cats, bonded pairs, and multi-cat households all welcome.
Pet owners traveling from Portland International Airport (PDX) use Outwoof Bound for airport-area boarding. The facility is roughly 25 minutes from PDX and accepts drop-off the morning of departure. Pet taxi service runs round-trip between PDX area neighborhoods and 5404 SE 72nd Ave for clients who would rather have their dog or cat picked up than driven over themselves.
Booking and First-Visit Process
First-time clients book a free welcome call or in-person Meet and Greet at outwoofbound.as.me. The Meet and Greet covers a tour of the space, an honest discussion of fit, and a chance for the dog to sniff the facility. For dogs new to daycare, an Assessment Day at $55 gives a certified trainer four hours to build a written behavior profile that determines which track fits best. Puppies four months and under can skip the formal Meet and Greet unless severe behavior concerns are present.
Boarding bookings happen through the same Acuity scheduling system or by calling 503-610-8871. Cat boarding requires a quick visit beforehand to introduce the cat to their assigned space. Pet taxi service can be added to any boarding or daycare booking for an additional fee based on round-trip distance.
